So this is a gritty reboot of the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon (which apparently Pixar hates so much that they are completely burying that show, it’s not even on Disney Plus) Personally I’d rather have Patrick Warburton back as Buzz if not Tim Allen

I had no clue they hated it, a reboot of that cartoon but not a boring. gritty pointless backstory would've been so fun.

I can guarantee there's gonna be a scene of real Buzz watching the old Woody's Roundup show and be like "I'd hate to have to work with that guy". 

Or him bumping into and inspiring a young Andy so we can finally understand why he wanted a Buzz toy to begin with.

I mean it's just amazing how much Pixar continues to push the envelope for CGI.

I think this does around $1 Billion not only it's off the Toy Story brand but it'll appeal to the action crowd as well like Incredibles. 

 

I actually think it's one of the smarter spinoff ideas.
