filmlover
The box office for this is gonna make mother! look like an MCU-style megahit in comparison. But get that comeback, Brendan! He's also in the new Soderbergh movie coming to HBO Max later in the year.
Eric Bonaparte
https://deadline.com/2021/02/downsizing-hong-chau-brendan-fraser-in-darren-aronofsky-and-a24s-the-whale-1234691410/ Quote EXCLUSIVE: Hong Chau has landed the female lead opposite Brendan Fraser in an untitled film for A24 that Darren Aronofsky is on board to direct. Sources also say Samantha Morton and Sadie Sink are in negotiations to join the cast. Aronofsky has been busy in the last month with his other film Adrift selling to MGM with Jared Leto attached to star. Sources say even with that film landing at MGM, the A24 pic will be Aronofsky’s next project with production expected to start shooting in March.

A24 already has their big contender for this year. Between this and Poor Things heading off to next year it appears studios are starting to lock in their contenders for this year. 2023 is looking to be the year where we'll see more diverse product in theaters again in general as the all around backlog COVID caused will have officially subsided.
