I wonder how big this could be. The first superhero movie to target the biggest minority movie-going audience? If people like this, could be DC's highest grossing non-Batman movie DOM (feels like a good idea for a club).

I think this film has a LOT of potential, youth character tapping into what people like about Spidey plus a really unique origin and power set. Plus we can get a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle team up down the line as well.

That would be the fun bit of the club. But I'm not too sure about WB's ability to exploit the "representation" aspect in the marketing as much as a studio like Disney's.

I do think it could pull a Captain Marvel/Black Panther if reception is on point. I could see it, especially as Latinos make up a large portion of ticket sales.

 

I would say an OW around Homecoming and Wonder Woman like legs.

Tbh depending on slate, I could see it be the biggest superhero movie of 2023.

Apparently this starts filming in early April. I’m pretty excited for this movie so I hope it turns out well.

i hope they don't do the trope that one character starts speaking spanish and after he finishes he explains what he said
