They gotta be planning some sort of limited release lead-up to that date, right? This could be an awards player!

It's MLK Day weekend. Pretty sure it'll eventually get a limited Christmas Day 2023 opening date so that way all of their bases are covered.

Imagine if they have real confidence in the movie (footage went over well, it seems) they'll give it a limited qualifying release starting Christmas Day. Otherwise if they simply open it in January then yeah.
