I was so glad they decided to show clips from the animated nominees. Feels like they won't do it much unfortunately.

They also showed clips from the International nominees earlier. I guess they just decided to skip clips for everything that wasn't an actual Best Movie category this year.

Has there been a single surprise win yet? I guess The Father for Original Screenplay kinda was a surprise win (was a toss-up between that and Nomadland), but besides that, everything is going as expected.

They've done a pretty good job of spreading the wealth so far and this year is anything but predictable so who knows lol. I hope it doesn't though. It was fine but I wouldn't have nominated it for anything.

 

In fact Ma Rainey has been Netflix's only two (major) wins so far although I imagine Mank is gonna be picking up a tech win or two soon. In all likelihood Chicago 7 is going home empty-handed.

Mank will win Production Design. But that's it. On a side note, pretty funny how there's a chance Netflix won't win a single major award this year (but they should still get most wins overall).
