I finally saw the trailer this week and only then realized she had a pretty big role in it. Most of the articles about her interviews have focused on her new memoir, which covers some pretty heavy life experiences. There's no good segue from on-set harassment, SA, and a suicide attempt after social media bullying to, "I'm the mom in this kids' movie with a singing crocodile, go see it!" filmlover
Wu was at the movie's premiere last weekend. In addition to a new book and a new movie, it's also been announced that she's going to be in an LA production of some play with Finn Wittrock and Anna Camp later this month that'll run for a few weeks so preparation for that has been taking up a lot of her time too. Happy to see her busy as ever (especially after what she's been through)!

Obviously, this isn't a Rebecca situation (where the title character never appears onscreen), but maybe Lyle is only in it so much compared to the parents (or the kid, but "kid performance = Supporting", generally). Or, if anyone is going to shatter the voice acting nomination barrier at the Oscars, it'll probably happen in Supporting. Not that Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is the movie likely to make awards history, but it's hardly the first FYC ad that ever promoted an unlikely outcome.... wboxoffice
Can anyone explain what's happening with this movie? Last weekend (5th week) it increased 28%, and this Friday (6th week) it increased a huge 52% compared to the last Friday... So how come it was going down about 40% on average for 3 straight weeks after its debut and now all of a sudden these past 2 weeks it's increasing substantially? Any promotion in particular? Last weekend was likely a rebound after a deflated Halloweeen weekend and probably boost by some local holiday for K-12 during mid-term election. Friday increase is due to Veteran's day boost. Most importantly, the market is starving for family-friendly product and only LLC is here to provide.
