Crowd reports from last night:

 

A Quiet Place had a good reception, but I heard several people say the first was better when walking out (a correct take). WOM will be good.

Cruella seemed a bit warm/mixed. One group walked out about 25 mins before the movie ended, and laughs felt a bit sparse. The audience score is strong though, so who knows.

Eh I mean F9 has terrible reviews @MrPinkso I’m not sure if it’ll be a direct comparison

I think those numbers will tell us alot about which model is more effective.

We still don’t have a clue how much Raya did via vod. It kept popping up on the Nielsen chart but we still know nothing.

Why? Disney don’t release figures or financials for Disney+.

For a $30 movie it did great (on Nielsen). If we factor in the price tag I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney made far more from streaming the film than they did playing it in cinemas. But we still don’t know anything.

Yeh. But why would AQP2 vs Cruella not be as good an indicator as F9 vs BW (on two different weekends)? 
 

Both cinema only vs a steaming release.

1.4m for Cruella is generally in line with people expectation. So high-teen number continue to be on track

18.3M 3-Day if it follows Aladdin

25.1M if it follows Alice 2

 

Could probably be a touch leggier than Aladdin due to less fan-driven demand, so 20M 3-Day isn’t totally impossible, unless PA or presales are just that much stronger of a percentage of sales these days
