poweranimals
I'm surprised people are underestimating Doctor Strange 2 with it being built up as the next big thing after No Way Home. But most people have it as the lowest grossing MCU film of 2022. Edited October 3, 2021 by poweranimals

If you're gonna create a Lightyear Uber Alles club, really should stick to it elsewhere on the board.

The Wild Eric
I mean older audiences and family audiences still aren't truly back yet. And yeah, it could change in 2022, but it still won't happen overnight, so it'll probably be a long process. Not that crazy to be down on those films. But yeah, doubting Papa Feige is a fool's errand, even if Eternals underperforms.
Saul Goodman
Worldwide 1. Avatar 2 2. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 3. Thor: Love and Thunder 4. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 5. Jurassic World 6. Aquaman 2 7. Lightyear 9. The Batman 10. Mission Impossible 7 I do think #1 domestic will be close between BP2 and Avatar 2. My box office predicting is based only on feelings so don’t take it seriously, I’m not good at this like a lot of members of BOT are (those estimates they do on the tracking thread blow my mind). I just wanted to participate in this thread and see if I can get anything right. Though I will revise my Marvel numbers because I was taking into account they wouldn’t be released in China but now thinking clearly it doesn’t make much sense to expect that.

Jak Ryan Drake Campbell
WW Avatar 2 - 1.7b Jurassic World 3 - 950m Aquaman 2 - 780m Black Panther 2 - 740m Doctor Strange 2 - 630m Mission Impossible 7 - 700m The Batman - 650m Fantastic Beasts 3 - 520m I see Avatar and Jurassic World 3 largely dominating the year 2022. Regarding the others, a lot of surprises in my opinion. I don't see Batman performing that much, on the other hand MI7 should score higher than the last Bond. I expect a lot from Fantastic Beasts 3 especially in the Worldwide. We will see. lab276
I wouldn't expect anything to make it to the billion mark, the box office isn't coming back that quickly.

It's going to Par + after 45 days. I agree with lab276 above, it will be hard for movies to make a billion next year. The usual suspects are Marvel, Aquaman 2, Jurassic World: D and Avatar. Can't see anything else even approaching the 1B mark
