I liked watching the Anthony Bourdain documentary but I don’t think it was a good idea to make. It was informative and I enjoyed seeing the glimpse into Bourdain’s life because he seemed like an interesting public persona.


But the trouble comes when *why* this movie was made. I don’t think it was made in good faith. Just as a way to salvage a troubled legacy.


And it was extremely unfair to include speculation on why he killed himself.


It’s also hard to include details about Asia Argento because she’s a troublesome person as well. Was it not alleged that Bourdain paid hush money to a teenager that she slept with? I’m glad that was not in the documentary because it would be too complicated, but at the same time, why make this documentary at all?
