apparently, Old got 90 more Thursday night theaters for previews

Where do you see that? Did it have an absolute number for previews or just relative to each other?

We all know next weekend with Jungle Cruise will be the record breaking weekend.

If you lived here in the UK you wouldn’t have a clue that Jungle Cruise comes out next week.

I actually didn’t realise until you posted this and I googled. Yikes.

You know Deadline already has the headlines...

"Jungle Cruise sinks under the weight of expectations" and/or

"Jungle Cruise buoyed by Disney's D+ revenue"...wait, scratch that one b/c Deadline turned on D+ in weekend 2 for Black Widow after being so complimentary week #1:)...

Tommorrow Land, and Jungle Cruise.

When will Disney learn that Pirates of the Caribbean was a fluke. Of course, it helped that the first Pirates movie was actually good, but still.

Jonny Depp was perfect casting as Captain Jack Sparrow - it's hard to hit that kinda perfectness for "ride" movies, especially ones not known for the characters on the rides:)...

Midday Update: M. Night Shyamalan is looking at another No. 1 domestic opening with Old which looks to be earning an estimated $6.5M on Friday, including Thursday previews on its way to a $15M three-day.

Paramount’s Snake Eyes is taking second with $5M for today and a $12.5M opening.

On the theatrical-day-and-date home front, Disney’s Black Widow looks to be down 60% in weekend 3 with $10.4M, while Warner Bros.’ Space Jam: A New Legacy, after a $31.05M opening weekend, looks to be even lower.

You're forgetting two of them. I don't understand Disney's desire to turn theme park rides into films

So, availability for subscribers to rewatch on expensive and uber-available screens seems to be what kept Black Widow as high as it was this week, b/c that 3rd weekend drop is tragic, especially considering the other opens...

Not good for Space Jam 2, either, but that movie, with its last weekend audience demo (teen and minority focused), does still at least have a chance to have some unexpected walk ups...
