A $140 million Roland Emmerich disaster epic.
ID4 Resurgence aside (and I try to pretend it never happened) we haven’t had an Emmerich disaster-porn joint for nearly 13 years.  Donald Sutherland in it = everything.

love these pics from the Con. Keep them coming!!

I don't care if he didn't direct it I still blame him for Geostorm

Netflix knows what they are doing, how petty.

Literally to shove it in the ass of all the studios putting things in theaters, fucking hell. You won Netflix, no need for this. Could have picked any other day.

Lol, that's like saying someone is shoving something up there that is about an inch long.

42 movies that almost no human being will give a shit about or remember.

I plan to see, like, 3 of them :hahaha:

Does anyone even remember about their Summer lineup? Sweet Girl came out 4 days ago and I feel like people were forgetting about it as they were watching it.

There’s a Witcher animated film out right now and I’ve not heard a word about it. Today is the first time I was told it existed.

That's Netflix for you, quantity over quality is their motto.

I do think this is a really good point.  Netflix Films are just the 21st Century version of the MOTW.  They are meant to be disposable.

i don’t understand how the binge model for their TV shows is still sustainable. HBO, Disney, Hulu, Paramount, and Apple have seemingly abandoned it.

I was about to snark in the Netflix thread that they're bringing back ABC's Movie of the Week except...

They're releasing films on back to back days and in some cases releasing three films in a day.  So it's even more than the fabled Movie of the Week from yesteryear

...

Okay, it's mostly coz I couldn't workshop the joke quite right — sue me j1aUlyv.gif.
