OS countries are suffering way more with Delta than US.

 

But i honestly think there's nothing Hollywood can do about this. Unlike US many countries doesn't even have vaccines, so there's no clue when things will be better or if it's possible to all continents reach stability at the same time with Delta spreading.

 

The industry will have to accept this and wait God knows how much to normalcy, but at least numbers are solid enough. With good legs SC can make around 200M, which is excellent in this environment.

at the same time not every movie has the same hype again...fast 9 sans china is at 330 mill or so

It's getting Dune competition in Europe next week. Don't know how big Dune book is in Europe or how the trailer did. Just pointing out that, while US market is competition free for all of September, some parts of OS will get some competition.

Dune thread has tidbits that presales for Dune in Germany are solid. Also Sweden. And Italy where it's expected to beat SC's OW. So it looks like SC is getting some OS competition.

Competiton breeds excellence.

 

This will make rankings overseas interesting, and we will see how loss of screens and competiton impact legs - a good contrast against domestic where there is literally no competiton for a month.

Indeed. Main reason why I always cringe when Team Disney Domination cheers Disney domination. Competition is what drives improvement and innovation.

wouldnt 4,5 mill thurday lead to a bigger os sec weekend ?  

 

also probably with dom and your os weekend prediction we get 250-255 mill by sun ?  thats very very good

Good holds in 2nd weekend in various markets.

 

Hong Kong 2nd FRI is just 20% down from first.

Germany is looking at less than 20% weekend drop.

Told you Asia's hold will surprise. There is almost no competiton, even Dune next week has not much hype here.

The rating on WMOOV has improved a LOT. 7.4/10 after initial 5.9 which mean actual is around 8+
