$89M till WED

Thank you! :)

Dune will cross 100M OS this week without biggies such as UK, China, Japan, SK, Brazil, Mexico, Oz. So while I don't want to jinx it, over 200M OS looks asured. We will have 3 weeks of no new openings so spice flow will slow down, but then restarts on Oct 14-15 (Portugal, Japan) and kicks off in a big way Oct 21-22 (all the bggies except Oz which is early December).

Hoping Dune can leg it out to $120m from current markets. In terms of others (I'm spitballing here):

S Korea + Japan - maybe $20m between them?

China - no idea, going with $35m for now

UK - it's a stretch but $30m feels possible. We love literary fantasy here, and it feels like Bond has kickstarted the BO back to life here

Australia - again no idea what the situation will be in Dec but going with $10m

Other markets - $30m

US - thinking $50m OW / $120m - HBO max will cut into any legs

$245 OS / $120 US - $365m WW...  hopefully enough for part 2

160k admissions in Germany this weekend (-38%) and 1.06M total admission so far (4th film in 2021 with more than 1M admissions).
Not bad at all for a rather sunny weekend and Bond taking over most of its cinema halls (e.g. in mathäser NTTD had between 23-29 shows per day, Dune had ca. only 5 despite being number #1 two times in a row).
I wonder what numbers this movie would have had in Germany without capacity problems, restrictions and now this massive competition. But overall it's clear that part 2 wouldn't have any problems to find an audience.
