Yes but to note also quality matters. If SC was of BW's quality - it will not do as well as it is doing now.

 

There are many variables involved, some good some bad - Competition, delta, WoM etc; not just domestically but worldwide..

PA / Piracy is just one of the factors - but yes it is one of the key factors.

imo quality too affected it...the reception was like antman 2 ..but even then that movie had very good summer legs....

FFH had $90M Home Media revenue + $180M TV/SVOD revenue. Going by poor Blu Ray sales of Soul, that $270M is gonna get big Hit as well, but TV/SVOD will have Disney's own valuation unlike Sony which has to sell rights to others.

 

Disney+ PA not only hit box office revenue, $125-150M IMO, it also gonna hit the ancillaries.

Do we think ERC will tweet comparing Black Widow's second Friday ($8.05) to Shang-Chi's ($9.7) when it doesn't support his attempts to make SC look like the weaker performer? I'd certainly have more respect for him (which is to say, any) if he did, because he might actually look as impartial as he's pretending to be.
