keysersoze123
Cine-directors is expecting 830K admissions for opening week in france. That means they are expecting it to be frontloaded. of course they could be underestimating it. Let us see who rest of the weekend go.

Despite the holiday context, it seems consistent to me if we compare it with BW. If 800k OW = maybe 2 million admissions in the end. The best total for a marvel since FFH.

el sid
18 minutes ago, keysersoze123 said: That was expected. Question is how many admissions. It was reported that it made 600kUS$ yesterday. So with ticket prices a bit higher than 10$ (normal price 11,4€ in my theater but in Munich it's probably more expensive than in other regions) that would be ca. 50k+ admissions on Wednesday. Pretty much in line with expectations: Mark_G from insidekino predicts around 300k admissions for the weekend including Wednesday and 240k without Wednesday. WOM seems to be quite good so far but not as good as e.g. for Dune.

Barnack
Looking a Widow and Shi for expectation that is quite nuts: 7 Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings $417,728,620 $223,152,296 $194,576,324 53.42% 8 Venom: Let There be Carnage $397,289,483 $192,114,061 $205,175,422 48.36% 9 Black Widow $376,951,484 $183,651,655 $193,299,829 48.72% 194.6 vs 193.3 that virtually the same, Venom at 205 being really close has well (have yet to be done so could distance, but that seem to indicate hard to reach 250 without China for the genre right now
Coldbird
Venom should be fairly above the MCU properties at the end (even without China), its still has Japan and Australia and some smaller markets to open.

BW opened higher than SC in most markets but SC had better legs to make up the gap (and also benefited from reopenings). Eternals is opening higher than both, we'll see what the legs are like. Could be just random that 2 counter force (one leggier-bigger than expected one underperfoming) ending up with the exact same number yes
