Don't think it's that crazy of a turnaround. I'm assuming summer shoot next year, with plenty of post time. Main issue would be scheduling for actors. Assuming the script will come together relatively quickly, Roth already said they have a full treatment.

It's likely that they have been fully prepared for production to commence on the sequel ever since they finished shooting the first one, it was only a matter of whether Part 1 was a box office success for it to officially get the go-ahead (everything from there was a matter of everyone's schedules lining up).

Kinda early to tell especially with no telling on how the legs will be impacted by HBO Max yet. I'd say a more moderate jump to around what this one would have made without HBO Max

I love this film. So much. It isn’t a movie. This is a film, the subject of cinema classes for decades to come. Dune is LOTR level good. I have seen it 3x in theaters and will probably double the number of viewings by next week.
