Basically because I'm expecting a hefty drop this weekend with Eternals. If it drops like high 50s, 200m doesn't become a guarantee at that point.

It will tank 60%+ this weekend, that is why.

It would still be at $195m by Sunday if that happens.

Yes but coming off a 2.5m weekend or below, I wouldn’t say it’s going to clear 200m with ease especially  if heavy theater losses come into play. Regardless I expect Sony has options with Ghostbusters coming uo

Dune-$1,882,062(-12%)

Dune showing great 2nd weekday legs compared to NTTD:

Dune

-55.8% 22.3% -12.1%

NTTD

-64.8% 20.1% -14.9%

Dune's legs have followed incredibly close to NTTD's so far. Only bigger difference was 2nd weekend drop where Dune's only 32% Sat bump was well shy of NTTD's 45% bump. It's a BIG if for these legs to continue after the PLF/IMAXs are taken away. That and Eternals will drop Dune significantly but if it could keep legs that still resemble NTTD's after that it can limb over the $100m line.

Last week's weekday legs for Dune

-62.8% 6.8% -28.2% -10.7%

With most theaters still only opening in the afternoon, we should get a really good idea of how DUNE is going to hold based on today's number. Late-opening theaters will only be able to show ETERNALS previews.

If DUNE has a decent Thursday hold that should extend into the weekend, even if it's technically losing more PLF screens on Friday.

Yes, thanks for spotting. Looks like a good hold compared to others.

NTTD only 8% drop yesterday! Bonds generally have good legs...that doesn't sound right.

Comparing Dune's performance to GvK's, unless there's a total crash to Dune's legs after PLF/IMAXs are taken away, it should definitely cross $100m mark. It might take 8-10 weeks run but that's okay. GvK:
