Eternals Weekend Thread: 71M OW DOM, 90M OS | Dune 7.6M (-50%), NTTD 6.2M, Venom 4.5M, Spencer 2.1M

Dune had surprisingly strong legs during the week compared to last weekend. Weekend-to-cume multiplier was 1.46 (vs. NTTD's 2nd week 1.39). Thu was $1.28m which should be only 40-50% drop since last week (last week numbers were flaky unofficial numbers so no certainty of exact number).

 

Points to sub 60% drop (>$6.2m) or even sub 55% drop (>$7m). We'll see how it goes with the X factor of no IMAX/PLFs. If no surprise crashes this weekend, and legs continue anything resembling this week, should easily pass $100m dom.

Wow! Pretty interesting how bad this is. Still excited to see it though.. Some who’ve seen it here say it’s a top tier MCU release, while others put it in the middle. I haven’t seen one person on BOT say it was lower tier yet. So this is surprising.

After the middling reviews, I was wondering whether to see eternals but decided to get tickets for it. Can't let my streak end now of seeing marvel movies on opening weekend. 

 

Also got tickets to go see Sooryavanshi with my mum. Need to keep my Half Indian cred up.

Madden is hardly completely unknown. He's very recognizable from GOT at least and had a hit limited series Bodyguard. Also legit insanely good looking. Even if you don't know who he is you go who is that?

Probably B+ on Cinemascore. Legs should be better because isn't a sequel and doesn't have much competition.

It's lower. Venom 2 had a 65% recommend on Friday night.
