Ghostbusters 2021 weekend Nov 19-21: Afterlife $44M OW | E: $10.8m | RD: $8.1m

Seems like a solid start!
I’m seeing it on Sunday.

I went to see King Richard this morning. Very good. Sad it’s on HBO Max as it would have been a solid runner for weeks. That said, Warner Bros selling out could be UA’s gain with Gucci arriving next week.

Really hard to estimate a weekend multiplier because of the 4pm previews start. At that point it is basically a whole extra day.

I'll admit that the 4PM start time does make things dicey, but I still feel very confident in a 10x multiplier. Even with this being marketed as a fan-driven beast, I don't think this is the kind of film with a big upfront demand.

The 4pm start wasn't across the board either - or my Regal was a rare exception where shows started at 6pm.

I could give a little insight on this, though I don't have any comps for how normal this is.  Out of my sample of 3,047 theaters:

2,078 had a 4:00 show

+426 had first show before 5:00

+158 had first show before 6:00

+115 had first show before 7:00

+173 had first show before 8:00
