OK, it might be an America thing, because they both made double what Raya did in Australia. Even lesser movies like Space Jam 2 and Tom and Jerry made more than Raya here. And of course Luca and Soul weren't released theatrically here either. I hope it was worth the D+ subs, because otherwise they were leaving money on the table.

Nu COVID is scary, hopefully it doesn’t turn out as bad as the first bits of evidence suggest. 

 

If it is a super spreader and already in Africa, Europe or at least very close(Israel) and Asia (Hong Kong) that is not great news to coincide with the northern hemisphere winter.

On a different note, I finished my Black Friday shopping in a click...I redeemed my 2 free months of Cinemark movie pass (so I can buy Spidey tickets), then bought a 12 month gift pass for $99, and then bought a $50 gift card with a $10 reward for concessions...so I've got tickets, movie pass, and popcorn ready for the tree:)...

 

My 1st ever subscription plan and starting small with Cinemark, since I can buy my fam extra tickets on the plan (I hit platinum with 8 more tickets, and have to already buy 7 for Spidey, so I should be able to do that and buy 6 extra reduced priced tickets/month next year during the plan)...

 

Regal has a good deal today, too, but I'm not ready for unlimited, nor do I like my Regal's location or theater condition as much...

So, the Macy's Day Parade had the premier "3 young males in the almost same role who will all be in the same movie this winter" on a float singing together...

 

My kids ate it up...and if Paramount doesn't theatrically release the movie after Paw Patrol and Clifford both made as much as they did, it's a mistake b/c my kids and spouse ate up seeing Joe, Steve, and Josh singing on their Blue's Clues float...that's dynamite current kid and big kid nostalgia:)...

 

Oh wait, you thought I was talking about that December movie:)...
