Waaaaay lower cap than the others, if it gets $1m it's a success. I'm waaaaay more excited for it than the other show to movie anime this year

Can I admit my son dragged me to One Piece Film: Red yesterday for his November movie?  It wasn't that bad, but it seemed to be anime's edgier response to the Disney animated musical, which my son didn't quite expect.

And now, I'll probably get to go 3 for 3, b/c he's been wishy-washy on Puss in Boots and Avatar...

2022, my year to see my 1st ever animes - once, twice, and probably 3 times!

The Forever Purge had 168

and The Invisible Man had 628 sold tickets.

The Menu, counted today at 11am EST for Friday, November 18:

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): no showtimes so far
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 26 (9 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 7 (5 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 0 (3 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 4 (4 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 95 (5 showtimes)

and The Invisible Man had again 628 sold tickets in 7 theaters.

Fantasy Island (12.3M OW, no Thursday previews and no big jump till Thursday) had in the same 6 theaters 397 sold tickets.

Overall this still looks quite decent.

Bones and All had still no showtimes in my theaters but the sales in the very few theaters it gets are good. E.g it had 223 sold tickets for Thursday and 253 sold tickets for Friday in the AMC Lincoln Square.

Idk if it was mentioned already, Violent Night tickets are on sale and has already sold some tickets.

The Chosen Season 3, counted today at 11am EST for Friday, November 19:

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): no showtimes
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 43 (6 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 234 (8 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 21 (2 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): no showtimes (but good sales in the AMCs Mesa Grand and Superstition)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): no showtimes (but the AMC Brentwood sales were decent)
LA (AMC Universal): 25 (2 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 4 theaters: 378.

Comps: Christmas with the Chosen had on Friday for Friday (= 2 days left for The Chosen Season 3 to increase the margin) 273 sold tickets. It's a bit difficult, Christmas made 1.2M on Friday which would mean The Chosen will ca. double that number. But Christmas with the Chosen started on Wednesday where it made 2.7M. And now the Friday is the first day for The Chosen Season 3.

And Father Stu had, counted on Good Friday for Good Friday (= again 2 days left), 67 sold tickets in 6 theaters.

And finally, She Said had today 81 sold tickets for tomorrow (in 4 theaters)

and 43 sold tickets for Friday.
Comps for Friday: The Last Duel had 96 sold tickets in 7 theaters

and Stillwater had 41 sold tickets in 6 theaters.
I would say the presales could be worse.

Imagine if Glass Onion was a regular theatrical release and Creed III was still opening Thanksgiving. It would be a much more exciting Thanksgiving weekend at the box office. Not to mention if there was a proper marketing effort for Strange World.
