That relatively low theater count for Transformers leads me to believe they're expecting an underperformance.

I mean, relative to thread expectations at the start of its pre-sale run?  No, not really.  IMO, Rise of the Beasts has shown some real strength, again relative to thread expectations.  At least when it comes to Thursday previews.

Frankly, if I didn't have a bazillion seats to check every night, really ought to have been tracking this all along.

(Full credit, BTW, to @TheFlatLannister who has been tracking Rise of the Beasts all along and was one of the first trackers to really note that it not only wasn't flatlining but doing fairly well all things considered)

Still don't think it'll break out.  But perhaps come close to touching 50m OW?  I've seen more unexpected things in my time.

(it could also be massively frontloaded thanks to EA/fan rush so still has time to turn into a pumpkin)

If this is feasible behind the scenes (ie being able to mass cut/paste/move rather than having to individually move comments), can I suggest that the new thread start be (essentially) backdated to early April, starting somewhere around page 800 from this current thread? There's a ~2 day period of overlap between when GOTG3 went on sale just before Mario was about to open, and the only other active track of consequence around that time was Fast X [but with its like 80 day sales window, nothing to do about that].

It would probably be better to have that semi-clean break as the starting point, rather than a new page 1 being in the middle of what will be around 20-25 active [3-5 movies x 4-6 trackers] - and therefore nested back into old thread - tracking comments for films currently on sale [again, only if this is doable without a ton of extra work]

I love the idea.

Let me try to look, but it will mainly depend on the ability to have a sticky post out of chronological order at the top of page 1 so that we can link to all previous thread as a sort of official archive. In essence, the "previous" page of the most recently archived thread will be immediately linked at the start of page 1.

Without that, splitting at a certain page (which is doable itself) would basically mean the new thread starts with a random post instead of a quick explainer and link to historical threads, which are helpful for SEO and whatnot.

I may not get a chance to dig into that before we split, but, if one of the mods knows or can poke around, please PM me and we'll give it a shot.

    Ral 7 14 39 90 1,122 8.02%
  Total   19 44 88 200 3,840 5.21%

Boogeyman + EA T-0 comps

 - Escape Room 2 - .984x (1.18m)

 - M3GAN - .398x (1.095m)

 - Prey for the Devil - 1.748x (1.154m)

 - The Invitation - 1.299x (1.007m)

Not too much change here; it's keeping up with the comps and should be able to eclipse the 1m mark.  I'll go with 1.1m for now.

Movie Day Area TC Shows New Sold Seats % Sold
Boogeyman 1-Hr Jax 5 11 82 123 1,116 11.02%
    Phx 7 19 29 98 1,602 6.12%

Boogeyman T-1 hr comps

 - Escape Room 2 - 879x (1.05m)

 - M3GAN - .359x (988k)

 - Prey for the Devil - 1.758x (1.16m)

 - The Invitation - 1.308x (1.01m)

All horror - 953k

All PG-13 - 805k

All 7pm - 857k

All movies - 849k

The T-1 hour comps are all excluding EA.  I think we're looking at 1m not including EA (maybe 1.2m total)

Are admins able to edit posts by other users on here? If so they could start the thread with a random post and then edit that post with all the important info that an OP needs
