Loving the name change! :)

Does anyone have any estimates for Thursday previews yet, based on their tracking?

Scream, counted today at 10am EST for Thursday, Jan 13 (2 days to go):

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 118 (4 showtimes)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 138 (3 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 41 (1 showtime)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 9 (2 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 74 (2 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16):
165 (6 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 584 (11 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 1.129 (+125 seats).

Up 11.5% since yesterday.
Comps (It 2 comps again tomorrow): The Forever Purge (1.3M from previews) had on Thursday for Thursday (= 0 days left) 241 sold tickets,
Halloween Kills (4.85M) had on Wednesday = 1 day later 1.006 sold tickets for Thursday,
and AQP II (4.8M) had on Tuesday of its release week 903 sold tickets for Thursday.
I don't dare to do a preview guess today (@Krissykins) because the jump till tomorrow is very important and then I also have more comparison films.

Scream, counted today at 10am EST for Friday, Jan 14 (3 days to go):

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 172 (10 showtimes)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 142 (5 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 32 (2 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 6 (3 showtime)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 34 (3 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16):
136 (10 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 224 (4 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 746 (+158 seats).

Up 27% since yesterday.
Comps: Halloween Kills (17.95M true Friday) had on Wednesday = 1 day later 1.254 sold tickets for Friday (1.000 tickets for Scream would be nice tomorrow but my guess are ca. 950)

and The Conjuring 3 (9.8M true Friday) had 797 sold tickets on Tuesday for Friday.

It's interesting that once again the Friday jump is the better one and for the first time also from sold seats (158 vs 125). The Friday jump was quite good for a Tuesday, e.g. The Conjuring 3 had a jump of 24% from Monday to Tuesday for Friday. The Thursday jump could have been better but the presales are as mentioned already on a high level.
And a lot of showtimes were added for both Thursday and Friday (normally that rather happens from Tuesday to Wednesday in my theaters).

If reach 4M previews (which seems linda likely) and reviews is good like reactions made it looks like, +40M 4-day is probably happening.

Hoping for it, i would be very happy.

Given how both Quiet Place 2 and Halloween Kills legged out from their $4.8 and $4.9 mil Thursdays respectively, a $4M+ Thursday probably gets to $40M+ for the 3 day weekend, with Mon perhaps pushing it up over $50M on the high end

Do have to wonder though if walk-ups will be weaker than advance sales suggest given the COVID situation

Also selling well in my region, which is nice to see since Canada will drag this down due to closures... at least the WC seems to be eating it up.

I’d say the number that I’m seeing would suggest 4M previews give or take as well, but I’d have to see how the next 48 hours go. Im

not too sure how strong walk ups will be though given the pandemic situation currently, but I’d say 30 for the 4-day seems like a safe bet at this point, especially given the reviews.

Scream 4 was actually up at 50M, believe it or not. Then tracking came in at 27.

I remember creating a fake weekend thread mentioning a 30M OW and people were losing their minds and reality ended up being far far worse.
