The Polish government has just announced dropping of almost all restrictions for cinemas (March 1st). Cinemas can again sell tickets for 30% 100% seats and food/drinks for screenings. The only restriction will be wearing mask. :)

 

Great news for The Batman. :bravo:

UIP shared new information regarding Sing 2. The movie has been watched by 1,2M Poles which is the best result of 2022 and, according to the distributor, the best result for any animated movie since the beginning of the pandemic (however, according to my estimates, Paw Patrol The Movie - also from UIP - sold approx. 1,23M tickets).

 

The first Sing movie had 1 637 699 admissions back in 2017.

Yeah seems great for The Batman, but how big? DC wasn't popular like MCU ex. Joker - Batman with 1M adm or rather close to 500K? IMAX are looking packed (as usual), rest we will see after OW or maybe @StarLord has something special for us? :)

I don't know is a first time (marathon probably yes) or not but sure for a long time here there wasn't anime movie in cinemas.

Movie mini marathon anime with two movies Belle: Ryū to Sobakasu no Hime and Mirai no Mirai

I think is first time for Mirai in theaters in Poland (global premiere in 2018)

Helios is 3rd biggest chain in the country (but unfortunately some of biggest cities don't have Helios) .

Several comments below their post suggesting movies like JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 or Dragon Ball movies to be shown next time and they respond that 'maybe in future will happen' (probably wait to see how many tickets they will sell with this)

Minari was played in the Polish theaters. I don't know about chains. However, it was definitely played in arthouse theaters cause that's where I saw it. ;)

In comparison to NWH the presales for The Batman look weak but I think the walk-up business could be strong. Right now I would predict around 200k. However, the war in Ukraine could also be a (big) factor.

 

There have already been some signs of that last weekend with most of the movies in the TOP10, especially the adult-skewing ones, dropping over 50%. There was only one exception - Encanto, which had a 19% drop in its 14th (!!!) weekend and went up from the 8th to the 6th place. It's only 5k short of 500k total and has entered the TOP10 for 2021.
