time for the annual stat dumps (which I normally post as you guys do the awards but this year you chose to do them during my work hours for whatever reason):

 

Funniest User: This is @CJohn's first win on his first BOFFY nomination.

 

Best Villain: This is James Wan's second BOFFY win, and Ray Chase and Marina Mazepa's first of their first nomination. Chase is also nominated in Voice Performance for the same role.

 

Best Scene: This is Ridley Scott's first BOFFY win after a total of five nominations, including two other nominations for The Last Duel.

 

Best Original Score: This is Jonny Greenwood's first BOFFY win after a total of three nominations, having been also nominated for Spencer and The Master.

 

Best Film Editing: This is Azusa Yamazaki's first win on his first BOFFY nomination.

 

Best Documentary Feature: This is John Battsek, Jimmy Chin, P.J. Van Sandwijk and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi's first wins. They're also nominated in Overlooked Feature for The Rescue.

 

Best Horror Feature: This is James Wan's third BOFFY win overall and second in the Horror Feature category (he previously won for The Conjuring). This is Michael Clear's first win on his first BOFFY nomination.

 

Best Overlooked Feature: This is Kieran Altmann, Katie Schiller, Emma Seligman and Lizzie Shapiro's first win off their first BOFFY nomination.

 

Best Comedy Feature: This is Wes Anderson, Jeremy Dawson and Stephen Rales's fourth BOFFY win, having previously won Best Comedy for Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel, along with Best Picture for The Grand Budapest Hotel.

 

Best Youth Performance: This is Rachel Zegler's first win, although she is nominated in three other categories tonight.

 

Best Adapted Screenplay: This is Takamasa Oe's first win off his first BOFFY nomination. This is Ryusuke Hamaguchi's first BOFFY win as well, although he is nominated in three other categories today.

 

Best Supporting Actress: This is Ariana DeBose's first win, although she is nominated in two other categories tonight.

 

Best Actor: This is Nicolas Cage's first win, although he is nominated for producing Pig in two other categories tonight.

 

Best Director: This is Steven Spielberg's first BOFFY win, after seven nominations, including three others tonight. He was previously nominated in this category for Bridge of Spies.

 

Most Valuable Member: This is @Jason's second win on his second BOFFY nomination. He is two for two in winning!

 

Best Hero: This is Shaka King's first BOFFY win, although he has two other nominations this year. This is also Daniel Kaluuya's first win after seven nominations, including one other in this category for his role as Chris Washington in Get Out.

 

Best Breakthrough: This is Alana Haim's first BOFFY win; she is also nominated for the same performance in Best Actress.

 

Best Original Song: This is Lin-Manuel Miranda's first BOFFY win after six nominations, half of which belong in this category. The other two songs he has been nominated for were "Surface Pressure" from Encanto and "You're Welcome" from Moana.

 

Best Costume Design: This is Malgosia Turzanska's first win on her first BOFFY nomination.

 

Best Cinematography: This is Janusz Kamiński's first win on his first BOFFY nomination.

 

Best International Feature: This is Teruhisa Yamamoto's first BOFFY win and Ryusuke Hamaguchi's second. They are both also nominated in Best Picture for Drive My Car.

 

Best Musical Feature: This is Kristie Mocosko Krieger and Kevin McCollum's first BOFFY wins, coming off of three and two nominations, respectively. This is also Steven Spielberg's second BOFFY win.

 

Best Animated Feature: This is Mamoru Hosoda's first BOFFY win, coming off of five nominations. This is also the first BOFFY win for Genki Kawamura, Yuichiro Saito, Nozou Takahashi and Toshimi Tanjo.

 

Best Voice Performance: This is Stephanie Beatriz's first BOFFY win after three nominations. She was previously nominated for the same role in Hero this year and for Best Ensemble for Short Term 12.

 

Best Original Screenplay: This is Michael Sarnoski and Vanessa Block's first BOFFY win, coming off of six and three nominations, respectively.

 

Best Supporting Actor: This is Mike Faist's first win, although he is nominated in two other categories tonight.
