Portugal just gave previews a whole new meaning. Scream has previews starting tomorrow which are 5 shows a day on every theater in the country for a FULL WEEK before the official release on January 20. This happened because of the rules where you needed a cerfication of a negative COVID test done in a lab for the past two weeks to get into a theater which tanked the numbers. Everyone expected the government to extend the rule so they delayed Scream to the 20. Since they didn't, and now all it takes is the vaccination pass to get into a theater, they are now doing this mess of a release pattern.

NWH makes up for weekdays on weekend. Nothing to worry about. Pandora is still very much in crossairs.

First time in a while Tuesday discount day have a similar bump like pre-pandemic Tuesday. Almost every film has >35% gain.

Thursday could come in below $2.1M. TFA had weak competition in Ride Along 2 which did only $1.26M in previews. Scream is much bigger. Thinking the drop could be as big as -10%.
