Minions 2 OS thread

Recommended Posts

Minions (2015): $823,352,627 OS

Despicable Me 3 (2017): $770,175,109 OS

Not sure about Minions 2. There's been a long gap from the previous film, and the franchise isn't as popular as it once was. Plus, there is still a lingering concern about the pandemic among families. Maybe $500 million OS is a good target for now.

820 OS (750 without China) is a crazy number, I always forget about the incredible success of the Minions movie 😮

Well from the tracking thread it seems like 3-Day OW is lookingat 90-100m and 4-day 110-120m.

Minions2 opened to $5.44m vs $5.88m of the first one in australia, so down only 7.5% from the first one.

M2 first week: $9.43m vs $7.34m up 29% from the first one, however Minions2 got released one week later to I think schools are out this week in australia so that explains the much better weekdays.

The origins story from directors Kyle Balda, Brad Ableson and Jonathan Del Val is already seeing strong results in several hubs with the biggest animation opening day of all time in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Cyprus, Czech Republic and Israel.
