filmlover Posted June 6, 2022 Share Posted June 6, 2022 (edited) Mentioned earlier that Sidney is arguably the biggest non-Ghostface draw in the Scream series but I'm actually fine if Campbell's done with the role. Plus the character has earned a break from being terrorized after 5 movies/26 years. Barrera and Ortega (+ the Meeks twins, I guess) are clearly set up to be the faces of these new movies anyway. Gale is high profile and works in media so is easier to integrate. We also don't know hardly anything about her personal life, so there's more to mine there. This is for the best. Her character is done, there are only so many times you can keep bringing characters back in a slasher series like this without it feeling contrived.
