There's no cute random prompt for Nat and Steve, because the only prompt that matters right now is the Cold War Olympic Figuring Skating AU where Steve is the reigning and defending Gold Medalist from the USA, and Nat is the reigning and defending Gold Medalist from the USSR; and at the 1988 Worlds Championship in Budapest (I'm not making that up, that's actually were Worlds took place that year), they cause an international incident and almost a hot war after they escape to Ireland -- where they marry and then declare their intentions to skate together as a pair in Albertville 1992.    

I could write a MANIFESTO on how perfect these two are.

No. It makes total story and thematic sense for characters like Professor X and Magneto who are allegories for marginalized communities like LGBTQ+ to actually be a thing. It adds an extra layer to the pathos. Marvel better make it canon before we get MCU mutants.

I agree it was a shippy moment. I think it being the only one (and no hint there will be reunion that could get shippers invested) kind of pushed them down the Top 20 in favor of characters with more interaction. But yes, this is shippy af:

13 of my fanon ships showed up! But I am surprised Tony Stark and Aunt May did not show up given how many other MCU ships made it. 

 

The biggest ship missing imo is Draco and Hermione. I am very surprised about that one missing out.

Ah, OK! I think I know what Talking2 ship may be. Without spoiling anything, I think it's the one that became the first het ship in a decade to top Tumblr Ships (where slash reigns supreme) and that created a massive shipper war (note: all ships have wars but this one in particular was like WW2 of shipper wars). Now some of its prolific AO3 writers went pro and have their "Talking2 Ship with changed names as set in AU" books on best-selling lists with recognizable Talking2 fanart from prolific Talking2 fanartists gracing the covers. They are like Cassandra Clare (Dramione fic becoming Mortal Instruments) and EL Johnston (Twilight fic becoming 50 Shades of Grey) of Talking2 shipping. It's another big franchise ship but not Marvel. We'll see.
