The schedule is beginning to get filled up and we're twelve films away from having enough films for the next phase of the game. But a few of Y9's big projects need a little bit more time in development. Therefore, the writers have agreed to grant players an extension of a one-week grace period, making our new submission deadline Monday, July 18th at 11:59 PM EST. After this deadline, the review stage of Y9 will begin in earnest. We thank you for your patience and wish good luck to those who will be working on films over the course of this last week!

Temporary Updated Y9 Schedule

So this updated schedule is meant as a way to keep track of new posts on the submission thread for the time being; the schedule on the other thread may be updated in the future, but this schedule will tide over players eager for an updated top-down look at how the year's shaping up so far. This is a living post that I plan to update as more films get submitted in the lead-up to the June 27th deadline. Whenever films are posted in the submission thread, I'll add them here, and if you have any other requests about the schedule, you can tag me in this discussion thread and I'll make changes; my goal is to do either of those tasks within twenty-four hours of the film getting posted or the request being made. 😎

There’s one or two more films coming today from @MCKillswitch123 and @Ethan Hunt, and after that, the submissions phase will officially close and we can move on to the review phase!

( @El Squibbonator also, the writers will discuss allocating IMAX screenings to other films, let us know if you want Dinosaucers to have IMAX screenings.)

So the submission deadline has officially passed and there’s no more “straggler” submissions to wait on, so that means Part 1 is closed, and Part 2, the reviews phase of the game, can begin!

But there’s one thing left to do in the meantime, and that’s reallocate some IMAX space because there’s a lot of space in the schedule that doesn’t have IMAX. We usually have a “three IMAX slots per player” rule, but since so few IMAX slots were used this year, many players are thinking that it’d be a good idea to allocate some space for other films.

Personally, I don’t want to post reviews until after IMAX is sorted out, just cuz I think it’s a fair thing to do. Though I will post my review thread now to give players time to answer a “which film do you want reviewed” style of question. Anyways,

Official IMAX Request

I’m not sure who to make the request to, I think it might be @Alpha or @4815162342 (or it might be a Gary Oldman style “EVERYONE”), but would like to request IMAX screenings for two of my films:

ALAKAZAM (March 21st)

and

DEVIL BEAN (April 18th)

And I don’t need Among Us to have IMAX so @4815162342, if Queen Who Never Was (Dec. 19th) is taking IMAX, it can screen in IMAX over Christmas, and I’m totally fine with that. Also, SSX doesn’t need IMAX either! 🤙

Oh, uh. Some IMAX requests!

@Alpha @4815162342

Me and @YM! talked about it, and though Mechamen and Sleepy Hollow are opening on Oct. 10th, I want to allow Sleepy Hollow to take IMAX starting on Oct. 24th. Mechamen would still get the 10th and 17th weekends. Since he only wants two weeks, we both want @4815162342 to take IMAX screenings for Land of the Crescent if applicable.

Heyo! We don’t use a deadline for the review period, and we encourage anyone interested in reviewing Cayom films to take all the time they need. Players are highly encouraged to make a review thread and post reviews of the other players’ films because it allows them to vote for Oscar nominees and winners!

No deadline to make reviews but now that submissions are closed we do gently encourage people to move forward at a reasonable pace.
