Quigley
Big Hero 6 is doing great. I think it might reach $20M by Sunday. Do you think this is a plausible prediction? In any case, Disney made the perfect move when it decided to release it in Russia 2 weeks earlier.

In any case, Disney made the perfect move when it decided to release it in Russia 2 weeks earlier. No, it's too much, Interstellar will come and could take it screens,$17m-$18m seems a safer bet. And indeed it was smart from Disney, I'm pleased about what it has done there.
Fullbuster
With last year exchange rates BH6 would br already at 18 mln. So BH6 lost 28% of its potential gross in dollars because of the weak RUB, it's quite an impressive loss.
juni78ukr
Hobbit moved to December 11th. Two previous films were released a week later. All three LoTR movies were released in late January. I remember we had bootleg disks by the end of December on streets.

Fullbuster
Kinometro expects $7.5m OW for Interstellar and $2m for BH6. Interstellar would be lower than I thought with that, I expected $9m-10m OW, but the very disadvantageous exchange rate (the RUB continues its slide) can explain this. Denizzo
Kinometro expects $7.5m OW for Interstellar and $2m for BH6. So they predict 50% drop for BH6? I think, it can do better. BH6 don't have any competitors among animated or 3D movies now. So it will retain the childrens audience (and their parents too) and most of 3D screens. Of course, Interstellar will take some of BH6 screens, but mostly in the evening and late evening time and only in 2D. Fury will suffer much more from Nolan's epic.

Well, according to the Russian standards -50% is pretty good, particularly in thir week and after public holidays and less screens because of Interstellar. But Kinometro already underestimated it last weekend so they could be wrong again ^^

juni78ukr
Was way too optimistic. With more theaters reported per theater average dropped like a stone. Only 55.5 mln RUB or 1.25 mln. Still should to at least 6.5 mln.
