Isn't that the reason given for Snowpiercer never getting a theatrical release there and even making a DVD release there unlikely because the extent of pirating? Of course that leak has to hurt the movie. I know quite a few people who planned to see it in theatre but since all of them have seen the movie there's no reason for them to do so. I was aware of that but even taking the exchange rate into consideration most of the movies seemed to have no problem getting some nice increase. It needs to break out big in Brazil and LA to make up for all the losses though. I know it's not doing much in US and AUS and I can't count on Asian markets either since piracy is very big there. Yes it's likely, but if the exchange rates are the same than now that will be an uphill battle...It will beat the first one quite easily that's for sure but beyond that there is no certainty.
