DayTripper
Can someone tell me what Ex3 made OW in Russia? It doesn't actually say anywhere here. edit....sorry, it made less than 4 million? Oh man....if I was LG I'd be out for blood. Lionsgate is only distributing in the US and the UK, a different company is the distributor in Russia. Stanislav Demydenko
Sin City is a clear favorite this week. Not sure about The Giver. Don't think it will do well here. Planes 2 should gross about the same as the fiirst movie.

Stanislav Demydenko
Everyone was expecting more for Sin City and The Giver. 3.7-3.8 mln on 1900 screens and 1.5-1.6 mln on 1100 screens for the weekend. Not good.

GOTG reached $34m and TMNT $25m, as expected TE2 reached $17m so TE3 will strongly decrease! GOTG just needs $3m to pass Maleficent, GO GO GO Russia!!! baumer
Lionsgate is only distributing in the US and the UK, a different company is the distributor in Russia. I realize LG sold the rights to different distributors in many different countries. Doesn't change the fact that it's their movie and if they do want a fourth one, this will kill nay chances of getting any foreign distributor to buy it next time. So if I was LG, I'd be out for someone's testicles in a jar.

So if I was LG, I'd be out for someone's testicles in a jar. Actually it was Nu-Image/Millennium Films who produced the movie and sold all the foreign rights. Lionsgate only distribute in the US and the UK, they didn't have any part in producing the movie or selling foreign rights. Even though the numbers have been dissapointing, EX3 is doing similar numbers to EX1 in many countries, even better than both previous movies in some places, so after the dust has settled and all the worldwide numbers are in, it might not look that bad if it can gross over $200M. I think Millennium could produce and sell a fourth one, but they might have to do it cheaper.

Stanislav Demydenko
Deliver Us From Evil is doing much better than expected. Other new releases are struggling. Sin City dropped hard. Turtles and Guardians are still holding on.
