US DVD SALES CHART WEEK ENDING DECEMBER 25, 2011 (PG 7)

Ok, I think I've found a problem with these dvd sales numbers...Straw Dogs sold 404,386 DVD's in it's first week in the US.BOM's est ticket sales sugges only 1.3m people went to see Straw Dogs.Final Destination 5 and Scream 4 each grossed $40m, but only sold 180,000 DVDs in their first week?Does that not sound majorly wrong to anyone else? That 1.3m people went to see a film, and a THIRD of them bought the dvd???

Or, alot of people who didn't catch it in theaters decided to get it on DVD? I dunno. I wanted to see that movie but never got a chance... wouldn't buy it, though.

Nah it reeks of being made up.And FD5's dvd and blu ray revenue identical?Pfft.

Perhaps Straw Dogs is more the sort of movie that you'd see on the small screen, whereas FD5 is the fun popcorn movie that you'd see on the big screen.
