The first trend, quite good holds:

#3 Die Pfefferkörner 35k

#4 SC 35k

#5 Paw Patrol 22.5k

Almost no changes in the second trend, unfortunately a little bit in the wrong direction:

#1 NTTD 900k
#2 Dune 125k/1.25M total admissions including Sunday
#3 Die Pfefferkörner 35k
#4 SC 32.5k
#5 Paw Patrol 22.5k

The sunny weather on Saturday and Sunday is mostly to blame that NTTD doesn't have an (even) better hold. By contrast the weekdays were pretty grey which probably helped the movies, e.g. Dune must have had ca. 65k admissions from Monday to Wednesday (no Bond total numbers reported so far).

NTTD I was thinking  should be around 950

Not a single new release in the Top12; No Time To Die dominated the market for a 2nd time. I had hoped for a near-flat number (because of restrictions) but it fell in line with prior Bond releases, so expect something like "only" 5mil admissions in the end. Still a fine hold, of course, and the same goes for Dune. Remarkable hold for domestic crime comedy Kaiserschmarrndrama which crossed 1,1mil total; that's already pretty close to the 1,24mil total of the franchise best-to-date, not bad for a 7th part! (It did also have the highest OW of the franchise …)

Next weekend: While 007 will be in front once more, we'll see some new releases in the Top10 - the 2nd Boss Baby movie should be on #2 (the first one had a 270k OW), and another family release, domestic children's book adaption Die Schule der magischen Tiere, has shown great potential in previews and has a chance at #3. Also opening: The Last Duel and a domestic romcom, Es ist nur eine Phase, Hase.

I realised autumn school holiday is coming throughout the Germany. Hope this boost the mid-week sales, especially when most of the rain fall during mid-week.

Dune is pacing ahead of Tenet but tenet have some really strong hold in week 5 (+9%) and week 6 (-20%) and I am not sure which week can Dune posting some week-to week gain....31st Oct & 1st Nov are regional holiday for some states but at that point of time, even the small gain won't mean much in raw term.

well, going by presales (always difficult with family films) #2 and 3 might come out the other way round, the books seem to be pretty popular! and Boss Baby is having extremely few presales at my cinema to date ...

Didn't expect Dune to fall below 100k, but the mid-week number has been strangely strong for Dune like NTTD. Dune should be able to top 1.7m admission that translate to about $20m+

At least where I live it was always the same in the last weeks: super grey weekdays but mixed weekends. Tomorrow (cheap Tuesday) is again predicted to be almost without sunshine which is at least good for the theaters.

Is 2m admissions dead for Dune?

Dead, I don't know, but very very improbable. It's headed to well over 1,5mil (which was far from a given after the OW, but holds have been great despite 007). With Venom next weekend, targeting again a similar demo and screens, it will be difficult indeed. Atm 1,6-1,7mil seems like a sensible goal (meaning it beats Lynch's Dune number) and everything above icing on the cake.

Good overall weekend thanks to strong holds and a good opening for domestic children's book adaption Die Schule der magischen Tiere. Disappointing openings for the domestic romcom and especially for Boss Baby 2 which made only 1/3 of its predecessor's OW. Also very low for The Last Duel; embarrassing PTA for Scott …

Next weekend: Two openers with Top5 potential - Venom 2 and Halloween Kills which comes a bit early but should have some success without much competition. The first Venom movie opened to about 300k Thu-Sun but that was pre-Corona and with little competition; let's hope for something like 250k this time (presales at my cinema look lower, though). No new familiy releases this weekend so expect some excellent holds or even increases among those!
