Really weak openers, and a great hold for Croods!

This weekend, there should be a new number 1 with Oblivion, and comedies "Take This Waltz" and "Playing for Keeps" open on a smaller scale. Yet with the Croods' fantastic drops, and a maybe poor opening for Cruise, I see a small possibilty that the Croods stay on top one week longer!

I think so; it's just a really bad weekend for theaters because weather looks fine - the first real spring weekend after a lot of rainy and cold days, so families opt for picnics, BBQ or other outdoor activities. Considering the overall bad business, Oblivion's lukewarm opening has actually to be considered decent.

Really bad week, no good holds and bad openings. Let's forget this weekend!

This weekend, "Mama" and "Broken City" will open but probably fail to do notable numbers as well; Oblivion should stay comfortably in front with a hopefully soft drop after the meh opening. Depending on weather, family films might recover a bit after this horrible weekend.
