Thanos Duology just short of R$600M.

Top movie outside the Thanos duology is <R$150M? I have to imagine that ratio destroys any other country.

People are now saying we should get used to USD at 4 BRL. It will be the floor from now on.

The new government is a disaster.

I really hoped we'd go under $1 = R$3 in 2020 but doesn't sound likely now 😕

Thankfully the market in itself is very strong!

Shouldn’t a weaker currency help Brazil’s economy since it has strong exports?

Brazil mostly exports natural resources and farm products that would sell no matter the ER because there's a strong demand in Asia.

A weaker currency is mostly helping for industrial products and that's where Brazil is very weak: it's not an industrial power and it's far behind in terms of innovation, it's not competitive.

WOW. Still excellent numbers. Competition also is non existent. Can Aladdin open at Top or would Endgame win next weekend as well?

Dumbo opened with a box office of R$ 10.3m. If Aladdin opens with a similar box office and Endgame has a drop less than -42% I think it's possible to stay on top.

Aladdin has more potential and a bigger name recognition, I'd expect it to beat Dumbo.

"We are already more than 18 million people, making #VingadoresUltimato the most watched movie in Brazil of all time! Have you secured your place in this story?"

Thanks

Now imagine how wild the marketing will get once it tops Avatar worldwide. :ohmygod:
