I decided to combine the gross of all movies from these 2 brands from 2002 to August 2019 to know in an accurate way which one is the most popular (both are very popular but to which extent?). The numbers are only in USD/$, maybe I'll add numbers in local currency someday. Let's start with Marvel, I'll add DC later:

Same thing in Russia, young people there wants action, dynamism,FX...GR2 is pretty good on this, even if it's a bad movie.

Hollywood Reporter :

Brazil

Hollywood's love affair with Brazil will only grow hotter in 2012. Consider this: In 2008, The Dark Knight was its top earner, topping out at $20.2 million. In 2011, a handful of U.S. tentpoles grossed well north of $30 million, led by Rio with nearly $43 million and the final Harry Potter film with $35.7 million. Sure, there was a built-in audience for Rio -- set in Brazil's capital city and directed by Brazilian filmmaker Carlos Saldanha -- but the overall expansion of the box office is due to the country's strong economy, thriving exhibition business and popularity of 3D. U.S. studios dominated the top 20 chart, taking 17 spots. And like Rio, box-office hit Fast Five also was set in Rio de Janeiro.

That's like saying NY is the capital of USA, Sydney of AUS, Istanbul of Turkey, Toronto of Canada,....

Rio was the capital a long time ago and is not even the biggest city any more.

Brazil B.O. could cross 1B this year !

Yeah, Brazil has a very big potential : the country is young, one of the most populated (192 million people). The only problem for the moment : theaters, they should have more of them, Mexico is the biggest Latin American market about this.Mexico should pass the billion mark too.

Yeah but prices of these tickets grew, so revenues could be pretty high, so it's ok.And don't forget : Brazil adds theaters and screens at a pretty good pace + growth of incomes. No, not worried at all :)
