Moana still held on very well this  last weekend and reached R$67.8m, making it by far the highest-grossing WDAS movie (Frozen is second with R$51.7m) and the 29th bigggest movie of all time. It also passed Fantastic Beasts and X-Men DOFP and X-Men Apocalypse. The movie will probably pass Ice Age 5 (a prowess given how popular this franchise is there) and enter the top 25 of all time :o

Congrats Moana and thank you Brazil :D

Ahaha not always my dear, not always :P Still, when it comes to animated movies they started to open their minds and WDAS/Pixar movies are increasingly successful, I'm really glad about it :)

Don't you think that the animated movies like The Smurfs have more potential?

Hi Amy :)

Well, it has the potential to do very well and I could underestimate it, I'm cautious because of the 2 previous movies : the first one was a real success but the second one collapsed in comparison...Smurfs 1 grossed $32.8m and Smurfs 2 $14.5m, as you can see it's quite a gap.

If Smurfs The Lost Village benefits from good reviews then everything is possible :)

I that good? How it compares to the previous movies final attendance ? I don't have numbers...

RE5 had sold 963k adm and RE4 860k adm in the same point in time. RE6 opened higher than RE4, but it's already trailing past it in the weekends, RE6 did 220k last weekend while RE4 did 231k.

That's pretty much meh given it's the final movie of this franchise.
