Well it's still better than india, where there is not a single accurate tabulated source.

I'm quite surprised to read that, India has a strong, influent movie industry and it started decades ago so I really expected the country to have all sorts of data/numbers. :o

Brazil is pretty much the opposite so it was less surprising in the 90s/2000s.

There are all kind of data/numbers since 1995. For bigger films since 1930. But finding them is a pain in the ass also different numbers on different sites. So, can't call them accurate too. Fudging was common accurance here. It is rare now but some producers still do it. And by fudging I mean, increasing box office by 10-20%.

Jurassic World 2 was a fine movie, I really liked it.

Plot was a mess, some decisions were poor and dumb, but movie's second half was much better. Not sure how general audiences will react to it.

Jennifer Aniston would be the perfect wife for JW3, she's such a hottie!

Watched yesterday here in Brazil. The theater was half filled basically, opposite to Infinity War in which we had to buy tickets with four day prior the screening (it was also a holiday). I liked the movie a lot, mostly due to Bayona's directing. People seemed to have a nice time. However, the world cup is already in full swing and with today's game, it'll monopolize entertainment for the time Brazil is in it (hopefully, we won't have anothe 7x1). I feel Incredibles will do a lot of money, but it'll truly show its force after the world cup, with school's vacation in July.

No numbers from Brazilian previews...the numbers were probably not big enough to be talked about :(  I have a bad feeling..

Ocean's 8 reached $3.3m.

Yeah, yesterday I went to watch it with my friends and there was hardly anyone in the theater.

Everyone is either staying at home or going to "arraiais" (June Party).

I guess theaters weren't as busy as they should have been. People were literally watching the Cup.

I was suspecting though but if it's like in 2014 the effect on Box Office won't be long-lasting, maybe 1 or 2 weeks.

By the way, the Incredibles 2 did really well across Latin America despite the WC so I'm pretty optimistic about it in Brazil :)

Only 9m for Coco?

Conflict between Disney and the distributors, Disney wanted 52% of the profits instead of the usual 48% so a boycott took place and affected the movie.

It had potential to at least reach $18-20m but greed ruined this.

PS: With such an ER it'll be hard for TI2 to top Dory, possible but really hard. Not that Dory had a great ER (not at all) but better than now.
