Brazil is, for now, one of these countries where theaters aren't closed, Mulan might have a chance to do better than in other major markets.

Schools, cinemas, shoppings bars and restaurants are getting fully closed for 15 days here.

It starts on Monday. My daughters won't have school anymore.

I won't have problems with my work, because I'm home based.

That's what your press was saying, not my fault if they lied about him.

Yeah, the press lied. Unfortunately it isn't the first time they lie. It wasn't your fault, by the way. I just gave the info because I'm brazilian, lol.

Everything is getting closed here, but that's for the better. Streets are getting empty. It's quite scary, if you ask me. Hopefully things will get better.

So far, no deaths because of the virus.

The good thing is that you got more time to prepare, Latin America as a whole is thankfully doing well.

Some doctors are saying the high temperatures ( it's insanely hot here in Brazil ) might prevent the virus from spreading around the country. Let's hope it's true.

So, is Brazil on lockdown or not? I'm a bit confused, and if it is then the movie market will suffer there as well.

Mar 17 - Unprecedented: a week without premieres

Covid-19 causes postponements of several films and next Thursday (19) will not have new films for the first time in the history of the country.

Mar 20 - Thursday tickets are almost zero

Virtually all films were reduced by 99% in public, illustrating the devastating effect of closing cinemas in the middle of Covid-19.
