That is my prediction too, comps in my city agree with that range too. It will be interesting to see how it behaves with this being an animation.

I am on the train that it's going to play closer to MCU movies than traditional animations, but it could surprise.

This is selling a lot like Spider-Verse. For comparison Spiver-Verse sold in it's first 6 days 109 seats with very similar day to day sales too. The first day where it broke the trend was in it's 8th day, so let's see how The Flash behaves. I think it will gain steam after Spidey opening.

The Winter Festival is happening and all the distributors are making announcements and showcases of their releases. Disney have announced a partnership with Globo for production, marketing and distribution and the creation of the seal Star Original Productions, to focus on the production of theatrical brazilian movies.

The first movie from that partnership and seal will be Perdida, to release on july 13, and is actually getting good traction on Youtube. They also announced that Nosso Lar 2 got delayed to next year, with that we lost one of the few brazilian blockbusters this year, but they also announced they will re-release the first movie wide in theaters this year.

R$49.9M was made on the box office this weekend, and 2.25M admissions. Second best weekend of the year.

While Across the Spiderverse managed to open well ahead of the previous movie's RS10.5M, TLM saw an amazing hold on the second weekend almost beating ATS's opening. With june here, the bloodbath begins as we will see big movies opening every week and every movie that did not hold well will be DOA the very next weekend to open space.

Starting next weekend, is Transformers and Black Demon.

Was ATSV previews 1.9M indeed?
