I had no idea... So that IW's 2nd weekend is even more impressive, whoa! Thank you for clarifying for me!

I thought we should only count 3 days because that's how it is in Boxofficemojo, but now I took a look at IW's opening weekend there and it says 27-29 April when the movie opened on 26 April... They should fix it.

That was what is was trying to tell you

But yeah when Rth aka God tells it, it's a lot more clear. I love that you @Rthanos give so much attention to the OS markets, because with your numbers and input it's a lot more fun to track!

Haha sorry I wasn't getting your point, I thought you were only counting thursday because of the holiday or something, I really mixed things up. Thank you for your help too.

Nah I just wasn't clear enough. Should practice my English more so I can be more expressive. I am just happy IW is holding up.

So IW already the highest grossing movies in local currency in just 2 weeks. Really awesome.

What’s the final total in USD are we expecting? How are its chances at reaching The Avengers ~63M?

Incredible!

Could have been #1 all-time in dollars too had there’s been no Titanic 3D re-release :P

Brazil will easily be #4 OS market for IW (behind China, SK, UK) and that’s just amazing considering the poorer ER.

Without DP2 comming up it would have bested Titanic in USD I think. ($75m). The reason i think so is that it hold extremly well Fri-Sun dropped around 25-24% for the 3-day. Thats insane, and it didn't have holidays like AoU had. So if it holds beter then 25% next weekend it would have beaten Titanic.

It'd get over 100M USD if it had the same ER as when Avatar was released.

Shame that it's dropped so hard since then, but an incredible performance nonetheless.

Agree, it's diheartening...Can you imagine this? A movie beyond $100m in Brazil?

it will become pretty common in 10 years but in the current state of things it's be a huge deal, a bit like a movie grossing $1B DOM.
