How are presales now? Do you think it can make 200M opening weekend in mexico?

Still very low but usually animations don't do big on that front. They either do meh or are CBM-level beasts like Minions, Incredibles 2 and the two latest Toy Story.

Won't rule out $200M yet. I don't like to categorize it as a genre per se but with the exception of Beauty and the Beast and the two last Star Wars, female-lead movies are heavily back-loaded so this could easily pull a Captain Marvel/Wonder Woman and explode on walk-ups.

1. Only Minions. Don't recall DM2 but that had a lot of buzz among 4-Quad. DM3 was more walk-up heavy but awareness wasn't nearly as well spread as DM2, it played better with families. Incredibles 2 played well with families and huge among older audiences. Toy Story has always been a massive 4-Quadrant player, probably the biggest ever. Demos are always interesting as Mexico just like Japan sees animation as another efficient way to express any kind of story on cinema rather than a "kids/family genre" as it's seen in US/Europe.

2. Definitely. Although holidays start until December 20th here the lack of competition besides Jumanji is going to benefit it big time. Plus WDAS titles are always leggy in here.

How is WOM?

No reliable metrics for wom. We'll just have to wait and see how it behaves through the first week.

Despite turning into the best opening ever for WDAS is still the 9th for animation overall. 10th if we count Lion King. Still a long stretch for WDAS to conquer the country.

In lc, Ralph Breaks The Internet is #1, Zootopia #2, Frozen is in the Top 5. Not sure about the other 2.

Moana is another one. Not sure if the 5th spot is first Ralph or Big Hero 6. I'll check the actual numbers but Ralph 2, Frozen and Zootopia are all over $300M, Moana over $200M and first Ralph and Big Hero 6 over $150M.

$9.3M OW for Frozen 2, better than expected, solid Sat/Sun; about 180M lc.

Internal multi is usually a good sign of legs. WDAS now is having not only its first $400M grosser but very likely its first $500M+ too. Should finish on par with first Frozen in USD.
