Deadline reports $183.4M MXN for JL. 17th biggest OW ever; 4th for WB and best for a november opening. Result is 20% over WW, 29% above T:R, 16% under TA, 14% behind BvS and 5% under SS

Big drop for Coco but it's expected. JL decent but it should have been higher

The Last Jedi started PS as good as TFA did, there are several showtimes almost or entirely sold-out around Mexico City and cities at north of the country, places where the saga performs like in the US.

 

Possibly have similar numbers due to a large fan-base and lack of a wide release since JL, but GA won't care that much having Jumanji, Ferdinand and The Greatest Showman (people just love Hugh Jackman). I'd say TLJ finish somewhere in $350M-$400M.

- A FB or MJ2 multi takes it to $450M land, a SS or WW multi takes it to $490M, chances for $500M+ are very low

- Imagine the mess this would be without Cinépolis

 

Coco

- Still playing in 2,300 screens. The next week will be arriving to the unknown land of $1B MXN

- With 50% drops would be at $1,040M+ by the time TLJ is released

 

Everything else got destroyed by the JL-Coco effect

Coco is *this* close to reach 1B lc, it's at 977M lc ($51.1M). The 5th movie to cross the $50M barrier (unadjusted)!

isn't that #9 is a japanese anime Spirited away? new-release or re-release?

It's an all time masterpiece, and you should see it if you are an animation fans, easily the best of animated feature, only some pixar films can come close
