US movies with higher theatrical revenues from a single non US country than US revenues themselves

Recommended Posts

I know it doesn't qualify the criteria but Korean gross for About Time is going to double the amount taken in the UK Box Office.

there's even a 0.5% chance it takes more than the combined gross from US and Uk together. But that's looking very unlikely now.

Why's it doing so well in Korea?

TF4 is a totally new category as it will probably be the highest grosser DOM this Summer

AVATAR2 would also be an ever bigger category, if it could make more in China (Titanic3D saw some makingup need)

Do you think Avatar 2 can make more than $500m in China? I don't doubt that it'll do tremendous business, but that seems to be a lot, even allowing for 2.5 more years of market expansion.

I hope not.

Avatar is the most overrated movie of the century. I feel sick just to think about how Avatar 2 will annihilate the world like the first one.
