Anyways, here are the choices of the pre-read selections:

The order of choosing goes from @4815162342, then @SLAM!, then @MCKillswitch123, then @Xillix, then @El Squibbonator and lastly @lamamama

Numbers had 2 films in the top 25, so they get two, as did Slam. I will allow duplicates but no more than 2 people a film:

- Endless Animation’s Rust - 3/27/10 - Genndy Tartakovsky (the Imagine? franchise, Primal) - Hand Drawn Animation/Western/Sci-fi - Expected Rating: PG-13
Rust takes place in the 2100s in futuristic America as climate change has ravaged the planet. In order to adapt to the pollution rich environment, humans have become at least partly cybernetic as a popular new energy source dubbed Rust is being fought over. Code (Benjamin Diskin), a traveling outlaw cowboy settles in New Bolt City where in exchange for his freedom, he must deliver a shipment of Rust across the country whilst fighting other outlaws, goons, and mercenaries who want to obtain the shipment.

- Infinite Studios’ Red Flag - April - directed by Kelly Fremon Craig (Notes From The Otherspace, Edge of Seventeen) - Drama - Expected Rating: PG-13/R
Tracey Yang (Haley Tsu) is a high school senior, reeling from a school shooting at her high school that led to the death of her childhood friend (Millie Bobby Brown) that happened a month ago. Tracey, as she struggles with adjusting, attempts to honor her fallen friend by challenging her state’s current laws in order to make sure this doesn’t happen again at a school regardless of the odds against her, whilst coming to terms with her death.

- Endless Animation’s Lovely Buddies - 5/22/Y10 - directed by Ian Jones-Quartery (OK KO: Let’s Be Heroes, Steven Universe, writer of Matilda and the Night Children) - CG Animation/Sci-Fi/Dramedy - Expected Rating: PG
The Lovely Buddies defined the world back in the 1980s, as loveable plush toys that spread love but what we didn’t know is that they’re inspired by an ancient alien species, the Lovelybuddians, responsible for upholding the balance of love across the world and feeding off of that love, going from planet to planet. However, when the Earth is deemed to have critically low love levels, the Lovelybuddians are forced to leave Earth and find a new planet… which they’ll do by making their presence known and preparing to exterminate all organic life on Earth. With a week until the scheduled destruction of Earth, a an optimistic and high ranking Lovelybuddian scientist (Ashly Burch (Heremias, The Ghost and Molly McGee)) teams up with two of Earth’s greatest scientists (Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) and Angela Bassett (Black Panther, What’s Love Got To Do With It)), who also happen to be very bitter exes come up with a reason on why Earth should be spared. And maybe re-evaluate and redefine love and its limits along the way.

- Infinite Studios’ Crunch Time - 6/5/Y10 - directed by David F. Sandberg (Annabelle: Creation, the Shazam franchise) - Horror/Thriller/Satire
Megan Brown (Amandla Stenberg) is a new VFX worker for the company Rotoscopoloco, working on the upcoming blockbuster Star Emperor. However as they are force to race to make the holiday deadline by the higher ups and most notably major studio Flint Pictures, VFX workers are being killed one by one by a unfinished CGI monster as Megan and her coworkers must work to not only finish their film but stay alive and stop the monster.

Infinite Studios’ Joyride - 9/18/Y10 - Spike Lee (She’s Gotta Have It, BlacKkKlansman) - Thriller/Drama/Crime - Expected Rating: R
DeVon and Ricky used to be the best of friends growing up but have grown apart once they hit sixth grade as Ricky got involved with the Kia Boys and DeVon took the fall to prevent Ricky from being sent to juvie again. On the eve of the last day of ninth grade, Ricky implores DeVon’s help one more time to do one last score in an attempt to save his younger brother who is being kidnapped by the Kia Boys as Ricky is in debt to them as the two steal the newest Kia which leads to a city-wide manhunt of both the police, rival gangs and the Kia Boys themselves as tensions between the two former friends rise.

- Infinite Studios’ Barracuda - 10/30/Y10 - Drama/Fantasy - Rick Famuyiwa (Dope, Static Shock) - Expected Rating: PG-13
In this drama, Herman DeCosta, a Bajan-American grandfather (Denzel Washington) is the life of the DeCosta family, known for his razor wit and jovial attitude. However, only he, his wife and his doctors know he’s battling prostate cancer which has grown terminal, and is unable to go to Barbados to spend what is likely his last Christmas, unable to return to his home until he is scheduled to be buried. Deciding to make the most of his time left, attempts to do right by his eldest and quarreling grandchildren, by showing them about what it means to be a Bajan through both stories of the legendary and entirely-fictional Bajan heroine Barracuda (Danai Gurira) and taking them on trips, whilst coming to terms with his mortality and how to tell his family he is dying.

- Endless Animation’s Lyrical - 11/25/Y10 - Expected rating: R - F Gary Grey (Green Lantern Corps: Rise of the Manhunters, The Man of The Jungle, Straight Outta Compton) and Byron Howard (Tangled, Encanto) - CG-2D Animation/Musical/Drama/Romance
Lyrical is a hard-R romantic rap musical that tells the story of a struggling rapper trying to make their name known in the world and a brilliant lyricist forming a partnership both business-wise and romantic-wise as it shows their rise and fall over the years. Kendrick Lamar is to write the raps and songs for the movie as well as Endless’ Worldmeander software to create a 2.5D aspect to the film, which is said to have the design of a music video mixed with Baz Lurhmann’s style of directing.
Cast: Donald Glover, Dua Lipa, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Janelle Monae, Pete Davidson, Ariana Grande, and more soon to be announced

- Endless/DC’s Green Lantern Corps: Evolution - 12/18/Y10 - Expected Rating: PG-13 - Ava DuVernay (Selma, A Wrinkle In Time)
Three years after the Korugar incident, the Green Lantern Corps faces lower morale as they have been finishing up the Red Lanterns, now led by Benoz (Mark Hamill), forcing the Guardians, spearheaded by Vicio (TBD) to insert more strict rules for the Green Lanterns, for the good of the galaxy keeping them from going to their home planets. John Stewart (Sterling K. Brown), a still “green” but highly skilled and highly ranked Green Lantern and former Navy SEAL, struggling with the strain of endless cosmic fighting as well as being on Earth full-time with his family. John is partnered with veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan (Sam Heughan), who has grown jaded in his pursuits of intergalactic peace and being a Green Lantern. Meanwhile, Sinestro (Joaquin Phoenix), now ruler of Korugar and creator of the new Yellow Lantern Corps, who are as heroic as the Green Lantern but have less limitations when it comes to lethal force or control. John and Hal learn that Sinestro plans to free Parallax (Tony Todd), the ancient entity of the yellow fear energy to take down the Green Lanterns once and for all, forcing the two to go outside the law and embarking on an intergalactic journey that even takes them to Earth as the must learn to get along as well as reanalyze their ideals to find their own peace if they want to save the galaxy.

 SSX

Spoiler

It’s cool to see a snowboarding racing flick in CAYOM. Sadly not much was done outside of the concept to make it something to write home about.

5/10

Dancing in the Doghouse

Spoiler

The second dose of the Doghouse franchise decides to explore more of the background on how all three generations of the Wolfhard are dysfunctional and flawed, some more than others. Though the campy melodrama which is more amphed up does often make or break the film, it is still quite an experience to watch befold on the screen.

The Queen Who Never Was

Spoiler

Um, yeah. This is head and shoulders my favorite of the year. An adaptation of the Game of Thrones prequel, The Queen That Never Was tells the tale of Rhaenys, a powerful dragon riding princess of the Targaryen family who are the most powerful in the Westeros kingdom. The ensemble fires on all cylinders from the headstrong Rhaenys, the spirited Seara, the stern and sexist patriarch Jaehaerys, the guideful matriarch Alysanne and the adventurous Corys are the stand outs, with the script confident in its three-hour runtime exploring the inner workings of the Targaryen family to how the sexism of the kingdom has always stifled the women in the family despite their high ranking. The theme of sexism is explored the best in the hypocrisy of Jaehaerys who while he does love his family, his focus on keeping tradition in is what fractured the Targaryen. Anyways, Queen is probably one of my favorite of the Numerator films. A true epic.

It’s hella DONG Worthy

Among Us

Spoiler

I did have a hand at pre-reading the first Among Us and was mixed on it, so I was curious to see the improvement. This version of Among Us is quite a bit better with the humor flowing better, sincerity and I still find the twist of not know the actors and actresses interesting. Though a problem I did have with it was that like others have said, the animated format with actual voice actors would be a more interesting pitch. Nevertheless, it’s a solid fun mystery film.

Vixen and the Castle of Doom

Spoiler

More confident and more willing to not pull back the punches, Vixen and the Castle of Doom is a solid improvement upon the first as Vixen’s moral dilemma, Awkwafina’s fun voice work as the castle and trippy animation sequences help this movie soar. The only problem I had was the twist villain who had motives I get, kind of take a step too far and is let off pretty easily. However, Vixen and the Castle of Doom is a solid family film this holiday.

7.5/10

American Spy is bumped to an 8/10

I also forgot one,

Ultraman: Dark Future

Spoiler

Though not as bombastic as the first movie, Dark Future manages to be a solid time at the movie thanks to Michael B Jordan’s acting as the lead and the sweeping action sequences. This is surely to be a nice winner this holiday season.
