As you can see from my avatar, I am a fan of this film. I agree with DAR.. best movie ever made. It's simply beautiful and the way cinema should come together. Acting, directing, MUSIC, writing is all superb. I have not a bad thing to say about this film. I don't think I will ever find something better.

Saw this a few months ago and really liked it. It has the Scorcese flair that's he's loved for. The beginning and third act were absolutely perfect. I had a few minor quibbles with the middle section. It's probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite Scorcese flick. It's just missing something to make it almost perfect (Casino level).A-

Arguably the best mob/gangster movie after Godfather 1 & 2. Not much to say that hasn't been said already, but I love everything about this movie and it's incredibly rewatchable.A+

I'm on a Martin Scorsese' movies marathon, this is the second movies watched after The Departed.It was a great movie, a classic gem in the mob/gangster categories for sure. It has the distinct Scorsese flavor in it, and as often seen in his movies, strong acting performances from everyone. Compelling story, good directing, neat editing, and great music. A+

Not the Scorsese/De Niro's finest work, but still one of the greatest mobster movies. Just behind TG 1 and TG 2. It has a totally different tone from Godfather. 9.6/10

My dad bought me Once Upon a Time in America/West for one of my birthdays like 10 years ago (still haven't seen the former) and I remember him telling me that ...America was the best gangster movie after Godfather 1/2.
