Can Ways of Water do at least half that number .  @MG10 same question about Italy. 40m+ Euros possible?

Honestly I think it's possible, it's true that currently our market is a disaster and completely hopeless but Avatar is still Avatar, I'm sure it can reach 40M since The Lion King was able to gross 38M just 3 years ago and during the pandemic we had No Way Home at 25M despite not being our favourite genre and some restrictions

Well now let's hope the gross will be big on China (500M would be nice)

I'm a bit worried since the market seems so weak recently (but maybe it's the lack of big movies)

If it’s actually releasing in full (no restrictions/lockdowns) I would be disappointed below $700M. For reference, Endgame is the highest grossing western @ $630M.

if it was released in full in 2019 then less than $1b would be dissappointing.

Not really sure of two things for Avatar 2, will it be released in full? and how strong is post covid market?

China had their highest grossing film post COVID. The market is there, it’s just a matter of the COVID zero restrictions.

@charlie Jatinder what kind of ticket price would we be looking at?

Even securing a China release, A2 problem will not end there. The case has been rising in big cities, it is now hitting 20k cases per day, a figure warrant a full district or city lockdown. In any case, A2 will not be released in a perfect situation like EG or a more normal circumstances like F9, or GvK. Only <60% cinema are opened in recent week.

Covid is still the series problem

we can only wish the covid problem will go better way when Avatar released

It’s sad to say that, but seems Covid have finally break our Chinese defense even we insist for 3 years, probably one day we might learn the west counties —— just let the covid go,or maybe we insist for more long time, who knows?I am not even in China right now
