As of now, yes. Probably to appease Branagh. I'm fully expecting it to flop like 99% of Fox's slate since Bohemian Rhapsody.

It's been said that this is a big genre shift from the other two. I wonder if they've made it more of a horror movie.

Hopefully it’s a genre shift from the other two from “bad” to “good”.

I'm not fussed on Murder on the Orient Express, but I'll die on the hill that Death on the Nile was good. I think Michael Green did a great job trimming and adding to the story. In the Bouc interrogation scene I was completely unsure of what was happening/going to happen - and I've read the book several times, seen the 1978 movie a dozen times and seen the Suchet version.

It served as a proper mustache origin story. Kidding aside, I thought both were fun. Didn't love either but had fun with both. Death being more fun than Murder overall I'd agree.

I'm so happy this series got another chance! Glad Disney saw the outside factors that screwed over Nile didn't mean people didn't want more of Branaghs Poirot.

Nicely cut trailer. Some great cast members, but that hasn’t helped things much previously IMO.

Interesting change in aspect ratio here. 

 

Could be cropped but might also indicate that this wasn't shot on 70mm? idk

 

:Edit: Since it's carrying over so much else from Belfast, I'm beginning to wonder if it's even shot on film.
